Dr. Heather Van Winkle

Dr. Heather Van Winkle brings over two decades of experience as a General Dentist to our private office, where she has been providing compassionate care since 1999. A dedicated professional, Dr. Van Winkle is committed to delivering personalized dental services in a welcoming patient-centered environment.

Dr. Van Winkle’s journey in dentistry began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton in 1994. She then pursued her passion for dentistry at S.U.N.Y. Buffalo, Dr. Van Winkle also completed a minor in pediatric dentistry, gaining valuable experience working with children and special needs patients at the Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.

In 1999, Dr. Van Winkle furthered her education by obtaining a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at SUNY Buffalo. Armed with a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth, she embarked on her career in Bohemia, where she has become a respected member of the dental community.

Dr. Van Winkle is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Suffolk County Dental Society. She is also involved in Mommy Dentists in Business, a supportive network of dental professionals balancing motherhood and their careers.

Committed to providing comprehensive care, Dr. Van Winkle believes in giving individualized attention to each patient, free from distractions. She is dedicated to empowering her patients by providing them with the necessary information and answering any questions they may have, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with their treatment decisions.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Van Winkle finds joy in her role as a mother to four children, whom she considers her pride and joy. She is also passionate about animal welfare and has rescued two dogs from Bideawee. In her leisure time, Dr. Van Winkle enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and camping, fostering her love of nature. She is an active member of the Dragon Gate Martial Arts Academy, where she has achieved a black belt in TaeKwonDo, showcasing her dedication to physical fitness and martial arts. Dr. Van Winkle is a member of True North Community Church in Bohemia and demonstrates a passion for making a positive impact within the community. Additionally, Dr. Van Winkle finds solace in playing the violin and cherishes moments spent with her family in Binghamton, NY.
